Sky Trading Application Carried to Next Township Zoning Board Meeting

Cingular Wireless cell tower application also carried to June

The Sky Trading application that is before the Washington Township Zoning Board was carried to the next meeting by unanimous vote Tuesday night. Vice Chairman Richard Miras said the attorney for the applicant had requested a continuance.

The applicant is asking for a four-island gas station and a 24/7 convenience store on the current site of 5 Star Gas at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Pascack Road.

Board members also unanimously passed a motion to carry the Cingular Wireless cell tower application to June 30. Miras explained that the action is something done regularly until the cell tower issue is resolved.

Also at the meeting Tuesday night, board members approved a resolution for two variances on a residence on Colonial Boulevard. The majority of the board approved the variance request at the March 15 meeting.

The much anticipated CVS application which is expected at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Pascack Road, has not yet been deemed complete, according to Zoning Board Attorney Donna J. Baboulis.

"When and if that application is determined to be complete, it will be coming on our agenda," Baboulis said. "I don't know if it will be on for May 17."

The next Zoning Board meeting is scheduled for May 17 at 8 p.m.
