Celebrate Valentine's Day in Your Own Backyard
Local restaurants are offering specials for couples on the holiday.
Valentine's Day is Tuesday, but it's still not too late to get a reservation at some of the most romantic local restaurants.
Bibi'z Restaurant and Lounge on Center Avenue in Westwood is offering a $90 special until February 19 that includes cocktails, a three-course wine sampling, appetizers and Chateaubriand, followed with a lava cake and chocolate dipped strawberries for two.
Next door to Bibi'z, The Melting Pot, which specializes in fondue, also has a special four-course Valentine's menu with cheese, lobster, sirloin, and chocolate for $150 per couple.
In Washington Township, Vincent's Trattoria is offering free desserts with the purchase of an entree Sunday to celebrate their one-year anniversary since opening. The restaurant specializes in traditional southern Italian food, including fish and pasta. Pompilio's Pizza on Westwood Avenue has a $45 offer that includes an appetizer and entrees and desserts for two. Other local Italian favorites include Granita Grille on Broadway in Westwood and Baci Italian Grill, which has several unusual menu items like grilled octopus. Bacari's menu mixes a blend of Italian and contemporary American options at their location on the corner of Ridgewood and Pascack Road.
For couples who want Asian cuisine but can't agree on Chinese or Japanese, Hanami, on Center Avenue, offers a mix of both on its menu.
Westwood is also home to two Mediterranean restaurants. It's Greek to Me has been a local favorite for years, while the new Mezza Mediterranean Cuisine on Westwood Avenue also offers a wide range of regional meat, poultry and fish entrees.
